About Easter Sunday 2027

Easter Sunday, 28 March 2027, isn't a bank holiday anywhere in the UK, but it's one of the few days the law keeps big shops shut.

Large shops (over 280 sq m) can't open on Easter Sunday in England and Wales, under the Sunday Trading Act 1994, or in Northern Ireland, under the Shops (Sunday Trading &c.) Order 1997. Smaller shops can open. Those rules don't extend to Scotland, so stores there set their own hours.
